There are three main types of material used to make a veneer:

Composite veneer – Non-prep veneers, Cosmetic bonding. A composite veneer can be directly placed (built-up in the mouth by dentist)

Ultra-Thin Veneers – Indirectly fabricated by a dental technician in a dental laboratory, and later bonded to the tooth using a resin cement. The teeth do not have to be shaved which means that there is no drilling involved – so no anaesthetic either. It also means that your original teeth are left untouched.

Porcelain veneers – can only be made by a technician in a laboratory.

Porcelain veneers are ideal for creating beautiful smiles in cases of small, oddly shaped, spaced or discoloured teeth. With this procedure you will be involved directly in your own design process in reshaping, widening, and brightening your smile.

Dental veneers are an ideal form of treatment if you have any of the following:

  • Chipped teeth.
  • Stained and discoloured teeth.
  • Spacing between the teeth (which you are unhappy with).
  • Mildly crooked teeth.
  • Teeth that are not a great shape
